Al Sayyid Abdulla Al Busaidy has rich experience in serving within the government, holding many important positions as well as an envoy of the Sultanate of Oman. During his tenure for about more than 38 years, he represented the Sultanate at numerous international conferences and was instrumental in strengthening the Sultanate’s relations with other countries.

His most notable tenures as a Minister commenced when he was appointed as the Minister of Housing in 1986, followed by the exalted position of the Permanent Representative of the Sultanate to the League of Arab States as Ambassador of the Sultanate to Tunisia, Egypt, and Cyprus and finally, as Chairman of the State Audit Institution until his retirement in 2011.

His long association as an invaluable member of the Sultanate of Oman government started when he was appointed in 1973 as the Head of Administration in the Ministry of Land Affairs, and also in Omani Manuscripts Organization and Ministry of National Heritage & Culture. Since then, he had held Director and Director-General positions in various notable Ministries and departments, including Ministries of Justice, Religious Affairs and Environment.

He is also deeply committed to the continuation of social causes including the development of the Education and General Welfare sectors. He participated in the formation of the A’Sharqiyah University andNizwa University and later become the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of A’Sharqiyah University.He had, also, until 2017, headed the Committee for Private Higher Education which oversees 27 Universities and Colleges in the Sultanate.

In 2016, Al Sayyid Abdulla Al Busaidy led the establishment of the Oman-Switzerland Friendship Association in the Sultanate of Oman, and currently heads the office as Honorary Chairperson (Patron)of the Muscat chapter.

Currently, Sayyid Abdulla is actively leading the Awam Group of Companies (AWAM) in building innovative and sustainable long-term projects with the potential for the evolution of the economic diversity of the Sultanate of Oman.

His high level of knowledge and extensive experience is undeniable in his ability to strengthen the relations and management that extends to have a good relationship with the company and our partners. Under his leadership and management, he strictly maintains and ensures fair treatment and respect for every group and individual, as he believes this tobe the key to an enduring organization.
